Employment Support For People With Disability

Employment is more than just having a job, employment provides you with purpose, routine, social interaction and financial security. Disability Consulting Support can help you with job ready skills, finding employment and staying in employment. We encourage people to think about what they will need to work towards and reach their work goals. 

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

The School Leaver Employment Supports is formerly known as Transition To Work (TTW). School Leaver Employment Supports is an NDIS support for young people in year 12 or have just left school. SLES is an individualised support which can be accessed through the NDIS for up to 2 years after finishing year 12.

What Does SLES Provide For You?

 

We will work closely with you to tailor a plan which will help you meet your work goals. Depending on your goals and how you would like to achieve them, we will be able to help you into supports which may include:

  • Work experience in open employment

  • Job skills training

  • Communication skills

  • Travel training

  • Cash handling

  • Job preparation

  • Working with others

There is also the option to gain a formal qualification through TAFE or another registered training organisation (RTO). Contact us to discuss how we can help you access School Leaver Employment Supports. We provide you with access and choice when choosing supports which will help you to achieve your goals.

Supported Employment

 

Supported employment is for people who are not able to work without support. There are a range of supported employment opportunities available for people with a disability which we can help you with. There are supported employment opportunities in a wide range of industries, including:

  • Hospitality

  • Printing and manufacturing

  • Recycling

  • Gardening

  • Reception

Supported employment workplaces provide people with safe, supportive and social workplaces. Learning new skills and accessing training are fundamental aspects of Supported Employment. Acquiring new skills and experience can help you toward your work goals which may include open employment.

Open Employment

If it is your long term goal to work in open employment we can help you acquire the skills and experience needed to secure open employment.
